Manchester City beat Manchester United 2-1 to clinch their fifth FA Youth Cup.

Tyrone Prosper William Samba opened the scoring for City in the 40th minute before Godwill Kukonki equalized in the 42nd minute.

Reigan Heskey’s late goal in the 87th minute broke the deadlock and sank United’s hopes, ultimately handing City the win and the trophy.

Both Pep Guardiola and Michael Carrick, who coach the City and United senior teams respectively, were in attendance.

The game was a repeat of when City defeated United 3-1 on aggregate in the FA Youth Cup final in 1986.

The young Citizens have also clinched the trophy in 2008 (defeating Chelsea 4-2 on aggregate), 3-2 against Chelsea again in a standalone final in 2020, and 4-0 against Leeds United in 2024.

Manchester United has won the most FA Youth Cups, capturing the prestigious Under-18 trophy a record 11 times.
